As well as going to work, I'm pretty busy this week.

Monday / Tuesday
I've been painting my bedroom. And that's just the new plaster paint / undercoat. Next I have to paint it the actual colour (cream).

Our home and contents insurance was up for review at the end of this month. Last years cover was with Nationwide, so they had automatically sent us a new quote for this year to the tune of almost £500. There were loads of additional extra, which bump up the price, such as Family legal aid. As mum is on disability benefit, she'd get free legal ( Read more... )

My desk and computer were moved into mum's room this morning, just prior to Andy getting here at 8:30am. My new bedroom window has been fitted now, and it looks grand. I was ready to go to work. No one else was home. My own house key was inside the car, which was no good to me locked in the house.

So I resorted to sliding out through the lounge window like Dukes of Hazzard.

(Note: I did go back in once I retrieved my key from the car; closed the window, and locked up the house)

I was awake early yesterday to begin uPVC cladding the ceiling in the utility room and laying the laminated floor in there, too. The floor matches what he have in the kitchen. I had my shower, and Andy and I began at about 9:30. We had finished the ceiling by noon, and the floor was finished by 15:30. It looks clean and tidy ( Read more... )
